In other words: PROM!
My boyfriend had it in his mind, way before we knew about Prom, that he wanted to be a cockroach for Halloween. Yes, girls. A filthy, disgusting roach!
The party was on Saturday night, the day after Halloween, so we were still able to head down to 6th Street to check out the best of Austin on All Hallow's Eve! We meet a few friends for a drink and even ran into other friends while we were walking through the streets. Plus we made a few new friends along the way!
Prom was awesome too. Mrs. Miller's Fifth Grade Band Class played two sets, including Green Day's hit, "Time of Your Life".

I made my prom date a turquoise tie and he was the hit of the party! If we had gotten there just a little bit earlier, he would've been elected PROM KING for sure!!!

What was my official Halloween costume? Just a sixties prom chick. I found a blue dress and turquoise sunglasses at Goodwill and crafted it up!! I reconstructed the dress from sleeveless to strapless, added sparkly turquoise tulle around the waist, and shortened the length. Its not Project Runway worthy and I could've made the waistline much more flattering, but I had fun playing!
