Lemon Bars Are My Specialty

This upcoming Sunday I'm attending a White Elephant Ornament Swap Party. If enough guests are interested, there will also be a Cookie Exchange. Not that I need the extra calories around the holidays, but I'm in the mood to bake! Baking is definitely my favorite activity in the kitchen!

I've been scouring the interweb this past month, taking in ideas for possible recipes. My specialty are Lemon Bars. I've been using my mom's recipe for the past 9 years. Hint to all you readers: its just Betty Crocker, but I double the recipe for a 9x11 pan and don't include lemon zest!

Tonight I saw these chocolate chip cookie bars. Don't they look heavenly?

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwiches sound good too.

If I made Spritz cookies, I could use a fun kitchen gadget... And decorate with colored sugar.

Oh... decisions, decisions!

I'm going to try your lemon bars, they sound great! I also have a cookie exchange later this week --can't wait! I think I'm going to make these.
I also LOVE these gingersnaps for the holidays--so chewy and delicious! I cut down very slightly on the flour on them. I know what you mean about decisions--there are so many things I want to bake right now!

I actually just did a cookie exchange on Saturday, and posted all about it today! My friend made spritz, and she did wreaths and Christmas trees, and red and green. She won for most festive.

Janell, The Raspberry Caves with Cinnamon look good! I'm not a molasses fan, so I'll prolly skip the gingersnaps. I love chocolate so much... its hard to not make anything with chocolate.

Kristina, Your cookie exchange looks so yummy! Now I'm getting excited for the party this weekend!

Beth, LOL! That's exactly why I need to choose something... all this recipe shopping is making my mouth water!

Nice pic! It's hard to do good food photography. (Although I'm ignoring the ghetto-ass paper plate ... ha!)

Oh brother. Like any good teacher, I ignored what I always tell my students ("Read the WHOLE prompt before responding...") and ignored the fact that you didn't take the picture yourself.

Anyway, they look good! Even on a paper plate! :)

beckiwithani, haha! Yes, they do look good. And no, I could never take a photo of food like that.
