Another baby shower!
A couple of weeks ago, I co-hosted a baby shower for our friend Debbie.

This party's theme:
Let's Potty Like Rock Stars!
I crafted all sorts of things. From the invitations, diaper cake, baby onesies, and earrings that were thank you gifts for the guests. Plus, I made her one of my infamous baby blankets and a Spongebob Squarepants onesie!

One of the games we played was "Name that baby". I asked all guests to bring a baby or kid photo of themselves for the party. To help guests from forgetting their photo, I suggested they email the picture to me and I printed them out myself. A few guests, including the mom-to-be, did that and it worked out great!

For dessert we had adorable baby cookies made by the dad-to-be's aunt! And since the mom-to-be is a huge Dairy Queen fan, we got her a Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
It was such a fun party! Good times with friends and family.

Ummm, I am stealing that theme. I am letting you know right now.
And I did the picture game at the last baby shower I threw.
I did one similar for the last bridal shower I did, where the bride provided pictures of her at different ages, and people had to guess the age.
Kristina, I stole the theme from either craftster or the internet. Can't wait to see your "Rock Star" baby shower. :)
I like the bridal shower picture game. I think it would be fun to have to put the photos in chronological order.
Nice!!
Why are the baby blankets infamous? Looks more like famous to me. Cute!
Deanna, you are probably right. They are famous... in our little circle!
Wow, you did a great job! Everything looks so pretty and yummy. The diaper cake turned out perfect and HOW CUTE are those little shoes on top?? I'm also pretty amazed at the detail on those cookies - that baby's got one talented great aunt. I like how you took pictures of all of the guests - I didn't do a great job of that at my sister-in-law's shower and I'm wishing I had!
Thanks Janell! Yes, the aunt did a meticulous job with the cookies. :)
And I tried to remember to take photos of everyone at the party. I like looking back and seeing photos of everyone from the event. I think had taken 255 photos that night. :)
Someone on my expecting club board posted the link to your blog, and I will be passing it on to the host of my baby shower. There are some ideas she can use, that I would absolutely love to see - like the baby picture game. It's way classier than tasting baby food and guessing what it is! LOL
Feisty Irish Wench, Congrats on expecting! Have a great shower and if you guys use any of "Rock Star" ideas, please provide a link. I'd love to see them. :)
The cake was too cute, and I love the onesies.
Very cool! I approve.
So, I might actually be able to do this shower sooner than I thought!
My friends are finally going to be adoptive parents, and I am going to see if I can throw her a shower. She is having a boy, so this would be perfect!
OK, it's me again, but where did you get the paper plates? I spend way too much time with showers and parties. I love them!
Here's a link to the bridal shower I threw:
